Terminal Leeuwarden

Leeuwarden is the newest terminal in the MCS network, but has rapidly become an important link in the water transport of Northern Netherlands. MCS Leeuwarden features extensive, modern facilities and is an official Maersk depot.

MCS Leeuwarden provides full-service container logistics. Transport by water is our core business. With the addition of road transport and container handling and storage, MCS facilitates the entirety of the transportation process. We manage all the logistics involved in transporting your container.

Terminal details

MCS Leeuwarden is easily accessible by water via the Van Harinxmakanaal. The terminal is also just a few minutes’ drive from the A31 and A32 motorways. Our vessels offer space for 156 containers and journey to Rotterdam four times a week on our regular service.

With our extensive facilities, we offer a wide range of services at the terminal. This includes dockside connections for superreefers, as well as degassing capabilities. The terminal is suitable for the transport of hazardous substances. And with our extra-low forklift truck equipped with a triple mast, we can strip containers on site.
