Inland Terminals Group (ITG) connects the inland waterways to realize sustainable and efficient container transport. Leveraging the strengths of our robust network and over thirty years of experience and expertise, we annually transport over 500,000 containers for import and export to and from the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. Our terminals are spread across the Netherlands and Belgium. The ITG group currently comprises MCS, BCTN, and CTT, operating from 17 inland terminals. This makes us the largest player in the Benelux. The ITG Group is a 100% subsidiary of the British investment company Infracapital.

Due to the growth of the organization and the recent acquisition of CTT, we are looking for an experienced:

Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports for the MCS business unit. You work closely with the General Manager and other MCS employees, collecting and analyzing financial data. You identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities in the figures and proactively advise the group’s CFO. You take care of the monthly and annual closings and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and regulations. Additionally, you handle VAT filings and perform other tasks for the entire group.

As a Financial Controller, you report directly to the CFO and manage a team of three regional administrative employees in Drachten. The work is mostly carried out from the Nijmegen office, but it is also expected that you will be present in Drachten at a certain frequency.

What we ask of you:

  • A completed financial education at least at HBO level;
  • Work experience in a similar responsible position;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Knowledge and experience with the financial package Exact and preferably the operational package Modality;
  • A coaching style of leadership;
  • A hands-on mentality, practical approach, and not afraid to take on tasks;
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills;
  • Affinity with (container) logistics and the digitization of administrative processes;
  • Good command of the English and Dutch languages;
  • Possession of a driver’s license and willingness to travel between ITG’s various locations.
